The Dam Chronicle, Entry 01

On the Discovery of Surface Garments
Initial findings suggest decoration. Secondary findings suggest otherwise.

Recorded by: Archivist Silt
Field Notes: Agent Drift
Reviewed by: Observer Latch

We did not expect to find them this early.

The garments were scattered across a dry structure; folded, hung, some simply abandoned. No signs of damage. No urgency. Just… left behind.

Agent Drift was first to approach.

They reported no immediate threat, though described a feeling of being “noticed,” despite the absence of any visible observer.

This has not been verified.

The garments themselves vary in construction. Some are simple. Others carry markings; patterns that repeat, spiral, distort.

Not random.

Never random.

One piece in particular has been flagged for continued observation.

Dark base. Subtle patterning. At first glance, decorative. On closer inspection, the pattern appears to shift depending on angle and distance.

Agent Drift insists it moved.

Observer Latch has requested we avoid conclusions without further study.

Still… we have secured the item.

It is currently stored in a controlled environment.

No changes have been recorded.

None that can be measured.
